My haiku

This is a “haiku” that was written for me by the Schools on Board 2014 students. Haiku is a form of Japanese poetry – each line has a particular numbers of syllables! These students were with us onboard the Amundsen for 3 weeks to learn about zooplankton and other science. This haiku is made up of 7 syllables in the first line, 5 in the second, and 7 in the third (maybe it’s more of a reverse haiku!)

“I gaze upon zooplankton
I like your science
Red hair like a waterfall”

What a nice thought guys! Thanks 🙂
